I'd like to thank Dan Sedlac for supporting the hard working volunteers that came out on the trail day this Sunday. On a beautiful day which he could have spent with his family or taking care of his shop, he busted his ass almost single handedly to feed and refresh everyone who came out to work on our trails.
There were yummy burgers, bbq salmon and lots of pop for all the hungry, hard working people. Dan was one of the first there and the last to leave.
Thanks again Dan
:)

DAN is the MAN.
Not only does he do good BBQ... he is the only shop owner who comes to all the meetings at the District, Council meetings and all the other unseen stuff that people hate doing but is vital to keeping the North Shore viable.
DAN cares for the Shore. He doesn't just leave it up to others to take care of things.

Thanks for coming out everyone!
I know the trail days are not glamorous but the work that gets done will last forever. Once we get the trails armoured and have proven that we are a responsible bunch, then we'll hopefully be able to do more creative stuff.
What we are allowed to do will depend on the outcome of the Alpine Study - www.dnv.org.

hmm,i was wearing beige cord shorts,black t-shirt with a red rising sun logo on the front..small glasses,semi long hair...probably in a mess...i'm about 6' even,175 or so.
probably describes alot of people...i spent the entire day carrying rocks up at the upper part of the trail, hiked down towards lower griffen at one point,to check things out.
were you wearing a red and white jersey?

Support like that would make me want to buy a bike at On Top, and I'm not even saying that... For that reason I rather pay the extra $20 or so next time I'm to buy a component or something just to get it at On Top... Thats super cool.

thanks to everyone who came out. it's amazing what 46 people working on a trail can do. :) it was great to see lots of new people, lots of people coming from off the shore to help, lots of kids of all ages, and on top lunches are the best... made for an awesome day. :)

Hey!
If anyone has checked out the work and liked it, let the district know!
We need to let them know how important this area is to mountain bikers, especially for beginners and kids!
