Upper Oilcan is in great shape. Old Pete did a ton of work on it buffing the trail up for the 37 riders.
What a blast.! Thanks to NSMBA, Dizzy, NSMB, DNV and Grouse Mtn for the permission, NS SAR and all the other fine outfits that showed up to help.

i think it will be anounced tonight at mostquito bar and grill along with a video.
i didn't think they were timing or doing the points thing so how can they get a winner?
sounds like good times. now i'm sorry i didn't ride it cuz it turns out i have ridden upper oilcan and i just didn't remember that it was oilcan LOL. mind you, it was only once and it was over a month ago so its not like i know the trail. i think i hit pretty much every stunt on it when i rode it though.

they started the time just used a fancy watch to show the split time when they finished the course and then each stunt you rode you got a time bonous (time off of your total time depending on the stunt). and they just took the lowest time. So yah shandro won (kida not surprised) but it was still preaty close and everybody was ripping.
male winner:
Andrew Shandro!! 2:03 !!(time bonus included) (second place was 2:04)
male U18 winner: ian nelson (AXX)

The race was a blast. How cool to have Andrew Shandro come out and participate.
There was a guy wearing a grey helmet with STEED logo... don't know his name. Man, was he ripping. Seemed to me he went through the log section faster and smoother than Andrew. Unfortunately for him he fell on the final uphill log ride costing him precious seconds. I thought he might have given the tough guy a run for his money. I was blown away how fast that dude was on the skinnies.
What a great day. Fun ride. Thanks to Cam, James, Sharon, the volunteer marshalls and everyone else who helped pull it together. Oh, and Old Pete... what a guy!

What a ride. I thought I sucked at the race, but I ended up doind WAY better than a though. i guess I wasn't the only one that had a hard time with the stunts at speed.
Wicked race. I only wish I could make it to the CBC one.
i had never riden the trail befor my race run. i hope to do better at cbc
