Just spoke with the man who runs the Woodyard bike park. He and I go way back.
His name is Ron Mercer, he would like to dedicate some time to the Big Bikes of our community to ride a sick ramp park.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are the dedicated nights to ride, unless you want to book private sessions, then you can do that.
It is indoor. over 200 ft of coping, 25 ft ceiling height.
Call him to go ride.
Ron - 604.788-9691
411 Wood St. New West.
friday tonite is booked, but it usually is pretty flexible.
Dave, Andy and all them went out there a while back. They said it was superjibtacular.

I absolutely think we NORTHern americans could use more indoor shit:)
For you guys that live near an indoor biking facility....USE IT! when the weather is crappy, why wait the weather out? Lifes too fuckin' short.

I fully intend to get out there asap.
Maybe someone can answer this so I don't have to try to remember to call him tomorrow:
If we wanted to rent it for a private group thing, does it cost more than the $10 a head? Do we need a minimum number of people? Or can we just hand him $50 and have only 5 of us ripping around for 2 hours?

$100 will get you the place to yourselves for 3 hours, you probably don't want more than 10 guys riding though, unless you're going to take shifts.
just got back from my second session there, the place is RAD!
every time i go i end up learning something.
all the park rippers (and learners) should get out there at least once to help keep this place going,it'll be worth your time... it's awesome... it's a super fun place to learn, ron has the tunes cranked most of the time, and there's some really interesting lines to be ridden, or just hit the mellow stuff and learn super fast.
you can set up a lesson from ron mercer there too.
ron is a really good teacher, and a bit of a drill seargent.
if there's some park trick or technique you've got your mind set on learning, call him and set up a session with him. chances are unless it's WAY out of your league, he'll have you pulling it before you go home.
if november rolls around and the woodyard is gone, it'll be a damn shame.

I'm thinking of trying to organize one or two in the next couple weeks (before I leave for the summer :().
If we're renting the place, there shouldn't be any problems with mixing and matching mtbs and bmx's eh?
