Then you should come to the meeting;

On WEDNESDAY May 19th
7-9:30
Cap College Sportsplex - Multi Purpose Room
2055 Purcell way

The Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve - ( CBC, Neds, Bottletop) have completed their Final Draft for the Trail Systems Strategy.

6 Trail Opportunities have been identified as a priority.

1. South Gate from Cemetary to Rice Lake Entrance
2. Figure 8 MTB trail near Rice Lake
3. NEDS/MYSTERY CREEK TRAIL ENHANCEMENTS
4. Old Growth Tree Grove
5. Seymour River Bridge Crossing
6. Seymour Dam Crossing

See - http://www.gvrd.bc.ca/water/pdfs/TrailStrategyReport-April04.pdf for details.

A meeting of the trails work group will be held to allow feedback on the draft strategy.

Come to the meeting if you want a say in what the priorities are.

We will also be pushing for an alternate line to CBC.

btw, today we climbed up to the top and rode CBC, corkscrew, pingu, team pangor, empress today and the conditions were awsome amazing. personally i can't really see why anyone shuttles that mountain because that climb is pretty easy, even for a big bike.

Not sure, but I think Sharon is referring to a new trail that would connect CBC to the resort parking lot at the top of the mountain. :???:

Top of CBC down to the Twin Bridges LSCR area. I think Jeremy is crazy but he explained the scheme today and it could work. The scale of it is huge though, so many things would have to work, things we havent really done before, in order to build a complete new trail.

 I would be happy just to have Lumpy Gravy (connector from TNT to top of Ned's) worked on with a bridge and finishing section. That might help to divert some of the traffic that ends up on the road.

Jeez same night as ORAC! I am going to have an Orac attack!
I will forward this info to our fellow ORACians and see if I can get the meeting pushed there...

Hey, nice turnout everyone. Too bad they scheduled the meeting on the same evening as the 2-hour finale of "The Bachelor", otherwise I'm sure even MORE riders would have tried to show up.

I was, however, surprised at the grassroots support for renaming CBC-Corkscrew-Pingu-Boogieman "Ernie Crist Heritage Walk". D.
