After my recent thread about getting a boxxer race, I've changed my mind and decided to sell my .243 and pick up a dually. As soon as I sell my hardtail, I'll have about $2000 to work with mind you I already have a Monster T2 to throw on when I buy the dually. What's a good shore-style dually for around $2000 (minus fork).

buy a complete Norco -Aline from last season..

easily be able to find one for that price...

is that cdn$ ???

also search out for a used BIGHIT. thats another super durable FS ride... assuming the rear 24" isnt a issue for you...

I personally would sell the Monster and grab a lighter fork. If you get enough for it, you might have enough for an 04 A-Line or you could get a Big Hit

this guy lives in ajax, and if he means ajax, ontario, then the aline is DEFINITELY not the bike for him. its heavy as hell, squishy, and a far cry from the fun that your HT offered you when it comes to street/djs.

its a great bike, especially for the price, but NOT FOR ONTARIO.

unless if you shuttle all your rides at blue or kelso, or you're a budget racer, don't even consider this bike.

from what i hear from the bc crowd, its amazing, but they have hills in bc, and thats where this bike shines. to me it seemed sluggish.

look into a norco 4by, they're way too much fun, or if you're into burlier shit, a scream. screams are heavy but pedal really well. its like you're riding a bigass hardtail, minus the bumps, but with added forgivingness of 8" to soak up hackery.

how can you dismiss the A-Line but recommend the Scream? both are heavy, big squish bikes.

i would look for a Bighit somewhere. i got one about a month ago and i love it.

i know you guys are gonna laugh, but if done right, you could build up a killer specialized enduro to handle most trails. my buddy has one set up wit h a romic in the rear and a z150 and dh wheels and wholly shit, you can ride up the hill but blaze down it hella fast!

good idea. just as long as he isnt going huge on it that is an excellent build.

The A-Line is a frame I was seriously considering. My friend rides an 03' and I love it even though it is heavy. I can get an 04' frame for like $1500. As for the monster, it's in good condition and although heavy, I might still keep it, but that all depends on how much I could get for it if I do decide to sell it. The enduro looks like an awesome trail bike, but I'm looking for something with a little more beef. If not the A-Line, what's a similar, new, frame in the same price range?

yea enduros are awesome, small travel bikes are awesome if you want to ride park still and ride some mountains, or whatever haha

also the sc heckler, i rode a friends yesterday, and he had the 5th jacked so stiff, i couldnt move it at all and i took it off some djs and it was like riding a ht, but then you can make it soft for trails... sick bike, light and fun, i would ride one, but i wouldnt ride a bullit :P

That deal actually seems pretty good although I just called my lbs for price on an 04' ALine frame and they said I can pick one up for $1050 w/o rear hub so I think I'm going to get it. I'll ride the monster T2 for a bit until I get more money for a lighter fork.

is the 1050 cnd and is that a pretty standard deal on those?

I'd say, sell the monster T2, and looks towards a 4by.

but do what you are happy with doing

Norco's site says $1690 CDN for frame and rr hub. I've bought a lot from this shop and they're giving me a pretty darn good deal or at least I think so.
