BMX Bottom Brackets

I am asking this on behalf of a friend. I know hardly anything when it comes to BMX/MTB bb's, so im looking for some help. He recently purchased a 01 250 frame with a BMX style bb shell. He has new hussefelts that he wants to put on the bike, so what kind of bb and any other stuff will he need to get to make it run?
