so im looking for a new set of rims and im going to get 24s, but i have no idea what kind to get. they will be used for mostly Djs and street, but i will be riding trails on them aswell, and i do drops up to about 10 feet so they need to be fairly strong. my .243 is pretty damn heavy, so im looking for some light(ish) rims.
so what are some suggestions? im also going to need some tires, i was thinking something like 2.5 inch highrollers.

You should also look at the Arrox DHX. It's similar in weight, width, and cost to the Mag30. I am putting one of the 24's together to run on the back of an Imperial. They look very well built but I can't give you a ride report since it is not bulit yet. I am putting a 2.7 High Roller on it.

Mag 30's are lighter. I have double tracks, and love them. Weight is not an issue with me though
You said you wanted light, go for Mag 30's,

Mag30s and doubletracks are the same thing (mags welded). The supposed weight specs posted by Sun are false.

The weights posted by Sun for the Mag30 are a pipe dream. Everyone else who weighs them comes up with close to 900gm. As someone who belived the Sun numbers and bought the rim I know. They are heavy, I'm swapping them out for some Arrow FRX's. The Mag30's will eventually be a shuttle only wheelset.

Doubletracks (if you don't wanna spend a lot)
or
Mag30's (pretty much the same, but a touch lighter, and more expensive)
As for tires, my friend has some kenda kinetics 2.6's on his 4hun.
Mainly does srtreet, DJ's and a bit of trails, and they seem to be pretty good, but wear down fast.
What about some .243 duros? They are 2.5's, and on the cheaper side.

mag 30 all the way so bling bling just like ifo said. They are so strong I have cased jump after jump and road them hard so far, and if it can stand up to my v10 wheel killer as there know for they are good.

arrows are sick 26 inch and ive heard they are sweet 24s too
thers also an arrow frx thats skinnier that may be lighter
Alex DX32's are doin realy well for me but doubletracks are a good and cheap rim i would go with that. Tires, highroller on the front is the best.
