Just saw in an add that the Iron Horse DH Pro is going for $3000 with some nice looking parts including a Boxxer Race and Manitou swinger for the bouncies!!! I'm just stunned how cheap. They also said that they took off $500 which is probly as much if not more that some shops would do for a loyal customer.

It's Sport Chek so you're probably going to get pretty crappy service with it; don't expect it to be set up properly either.

They also have the SGS Expert (not sure if that's what it's called, but it's part of the freeride line) with a Sherman Flick for $2400.

Last week Rocky Cycle sent out a flyer and they were selling the 04 Norco Six for $2600, I think. That's a better deal, if you ask me.

the parts on them are "second rate..." so i hear there not quite as good as the parts they sell off the shelf etc...... thats what i heard any ways thats why they can sell the thing for so much cheeper this is only what i heard but they still llook nice and nice parts... the sportcheck wont set em up right.... or at all

I've read the part specs on them and they don't seem bad at all. and with all the money that you would saved on the bike, you could take it to a real shop to set it up properly. miufahkiu I do agree with you that for an extra $200 the Norco six would be a better deal than the Iron Horse SGS expret and that is why I didn't put it in there.

components look arite on that.... 5th element, boxxer race, e.13 guide, Hayes HFX9 (size?) XT rear, LX everthing else prolly. Definately check rims/hub/tires etc.

I'd never buy a bike from Sportchek tho.... prefer to support the LBS, even if it means a little extra time grinding out a deal :D

I'm not sure if it actually comes with a 5th Element; the Iron Horse site says that it has a Manitou Swinger 4-Way. The SGS World Cup comes with a 5th Element, though.
