I'm riding a 03 norco launch with stock alexrims dx32. just some days ago i changed the tires from kenda kinetics 2.35 rear/2.6front to nevegal 2.35 rear and bluegroove 2.5 front. i thought this wouldn't be a problem since the same combo is mounted on the 04 six and the 04 fuse. it works, but the rear is thight, tighter than running the 2.35 kinetics. it usually doesn't rub except once in a while after big hits or when riding uphill and only for 1 or 2 revolutions, then it's all well again.
did the nevegals get bigger? did norco increase the rear tire clearance from last years launch to the 04 fuse or is it just the different rim (supra on fuse)? or did they just mount a really thight combo on the fuse?
i really like the nevegal/bluegroove tires, great grip that i don't want to miss. the little rub has scraped off some of the paint. that's no big deal, polished looks ok, but i just don't want the tires to kill the stays. i'll put some of that chainstayprotectorfoil they use for xc-bikes on that spot and true the wheel. any other suggestions? thanks guys.
