ATTENTION EDMONTON bikers--bike stores

hey, i will be going to edmonton in a couple weeks, i was wondering if there were any good bike stores with good prices. is there any shops IN west edmonton mall or nearby? if u know the name of the shop and website that would be awesome

theres coast mountain sports.. but they only have coastmtn bikes :P they have some components... but not much

all the good stores are around white ave./university area.

Closest shop to the mall would probably be Revolution Cycle, off 149th ave and Stony Plain.

I don't know how their prices compare...

I went to some shop in the summer there it had like a mini course thing beside it but they shut it down for danger reasons or something. It was a pretty cool shop. It's quite large to but the name is past me at this point:)

pretty sure it was tricycleworks, and they gave the stunts to hardcore.

thems my boys! the billboard drop is fun. that place rocks ass. 75th and arygle road. like maybe 5 mins away from the end of whyte ave.


after RVC, check out hardcore, then redbike, then revoultion cycle i guess. i dunno. only ever hit up RVC and hardcore.

either go to hardcore (100th and whyte)
or redbike...... dont know the street, its right off the highlevel bridge though.

meh, they treat me good there. atleast i know when i go to rvc and get my bike back later, it isn't gonnabe missing a knob from my fork and i won't have a massive gouge in my top tube :rolleyes:

as for united cycle unless the place has stuff onsale aviod it like the plauge. that place sucks they are "the man" of bicyle stores in edmonton. and all the people there don't know shit about bikes, i mena christ deana prolly knows more than half of those kids there.

redbike is on like 107th street (i think) right by the highlevel bridge. they are pretty good people, but it is a tiny ass shop.


as for the billboard drop at rvc, its better riding than they have at any other shop, n00b. :rolleyes: you prolly judt don't like it cause you have no clue how to wheelie drop.

redbike is a good shop.
and united there are lots of guys there that know there shit, but there are a few who are morons (in the shop mostly) but the guy behind the parts counter knows his shit.

and that was hillarious when your derailer blew up, but the dude at the shop told you earlier that day that you had a crack in your derialer cage, that is prolly why it blew up. you got some chain suck goin up in the front, it put alot of tension on your already weak derailer cage and pulled it into the spokes :rolleyes:


it still was funny seeing you destroy your wheel/derailer like riding down a set of stairs :P

yeah i should retracked what i said about united, the parts guys are pretty good but the shop guys are fuckin retards. my bro took his 4by4 there once and and they couldn't figure out how to mount a front derialer on the bike cause there was no cable mounts. took it to rvc, took my old buddy carl no more then 30 mins to do it including fabricating some ghetto cable mounts.plus if you take your bike in for a tune up at united you it only takes 2 weeks to get it back, plus if you buy a bike there you only get a year of free tune ups. which is uber fuckin stupid.

it took 30 mins cause he had to make up some ghetto fabulous cable mounts, and it was one of those derialers thatm ount behind the BB cup. i think they are called e-type derailers.


p.s. you use the rolleyes smilie to much, you shouldn't be allowed to use it
