yes, get a new bike. no offense. i ride an atomik, i loed it and have upgraded it lots and the frame is the one thing that has given me problems. new bushing and chainstay took me out of riding for a month because norco is retarded. but whatever floats your boat.

by the looks of your sig. it looks like you ride a 02 atomik(01 i dont know) but the 03 frame has alot of changes compared to the 02 (i checked becasue i could have boutght one for alot cheeper) and the stays are different and various other parts of the frame as well...so far it hasnt given me any trouble but ill post here if anything happens...the only thing i would like to change is maybe the color or fork...i know looks arent everything but i dont like the big VPS logo on the side ive got to find a cool stiker or sumthin to cover it up.

its not a bad bike, ive riden mine for a year and a half, it was my first mountain bike, i have just progressed a lot. the biek was perfect for me then i just upgraded slowly as i needed it. I wasnt aware that norco re-designed the stays for 03' i though it was just for 04'......sorry for my comment earlier, it was ignorant:P

yeah keep it the chainstay is much stronger and if you break it you will get warrentee. the bushing and the bearings are replaceable without any modification to avoid the warrenty. you can get standard sized size 3 i think at local skateshops. those bearings will cost you around 30 bux but they work very smooth and nice. you can make a custom bearing installer and a remover with just a bolt and 2 huge washer and lots of small spacers. by the progress and changes norco has made last 3 years im sure by 2007 atomik might have a tubing frame.
sick ride.

Its not the strength of the stem, its just the length.

so should i get a shorter one?? longer>>>?? what? iis pretty much the same as the one i had on my old bike so im kinda used to it.
Lots of people find shorter stems make the bike handle a bit better, toss around easier. I have a 50mm stem on my bike for example.
