I have a foes fly 8" travel bike, thinking of building a 2nd bike for me to hopefulyl get faster, smoother on and help build some endurance and stuff up. Also for bikeless buddies to ride...Woudl it make sense to get a 4-5" Dually bike with a SC fork? Or go with a Hardtail and a 5" SC fork...

If you want to get smoother and better technically, get a HT.

If you want to get faster (I know I'm going to get flamed for this but it's true) get a road bike.

I found this photo in a gallery that I host...

I still like hardtails though!

I can't say... Airborne Ranger just stole that on PB when he was gonna build up an 04 SX with a Dorado SC.

Another one:

HT with 6" Slider. After a couple of rides, you will do away with the big bike once and for all. ;)

IRD makes a black teflon chain but it does not get good reviews. The teflon wears off and gunks it up.

Get a hardtail.. I went from fs to ht and I can still do everything I could do before but smoother. It makes you more conscience of your back end. Riding with a dually can make you sloppy sometimes. A hardtail would really help you alot.
