Holy crap it's sold out already.... anyone who thought they might wait is too late now. I think this is the earliest it's ever sold out, so much for xc fading away. Oh well I got my entry a month ago;)

That was an abrupt way of me deciding not to do it :( There's always the Cheakamus, plus I can get a ride to that one.

Good times. I got the heads up from a buddy today that it was filling up fast. Logged on only to find out it was full. I had to give them my CC # just to go on the wait list.

2 years in a row now I've missed out.

It's a fun event.

I'm on the waiting list too. I was waiting for my licence to come through so I could save $10.

Stupid. :???:

I'll take the test any day, the Cheak is just fire roads, logging roads and highways, IMO. It's usually poorly marked and you have to get down to Squamish after the race. The Test owns it all around.

First off, I can't register for the test right now. Second, my ride has a family that drives up to Whistler to meet him. Third off, I'm in very good shape in September, not in June. June is also the biggest month for swimming, a meet every weekend.

edit: Yeah I know the test is better, you are the 15,678th person to tell me.

I know! I was just stating my opinion. I was always burnt out/sick come september. I usually peak around the end of June/early July.

P.S. the test is better.

The biggest trials event in North America is there too. Riders from all over NA venture out too the comp. Last year one rider even came all the way from japan. Jeff Lenosky, Ryan Leech and many other greats have competed in the event over the last few years. Hopfully Jeff will make it out again this year.

Robin Coope runs the event and the sections are always entertaining. For any riders looking to test out your technical riding ability I recomend going. Lots of great draw prizes, and good vibes all round. :D

My money's on Matt Martindill this year. He was charging for the lead last year, right at the end, and had a dumb incident. He's got a great bike for this year.

Last year my peak was like the 20th of August... but then I try to keep it up on the bike after that.

I've missed getting in two years in a row so I didn't take any chances this year. Signed up the second week of January. Boy I'm I glad.

Look for me in the 30-39 citizen class :D
