In as many words as your local labour Union would approve of....."Nobody moves...nobody gets hurt."

But seriously....what's your game plan for this yr? Really push and risk to progress. Continue sameO sameO. Continue a steady but safe progression......etc...

I JUST started riding for this season officially:) Feels SOOO good:grinno: .....a whole 20min of it. Then I proceeded to go dig for 3hrs:eek: .....wtf:lol: Where am I at though? Last season started off hardcore awesome!!! Then FIRE from hell combined with other crap and that made last yr suck huge. A total wash 'cept for the first part.

So...right now....I'm playing catch up on the regular routine, plus riding a HT for the first time since '91...plus diggin' new stuff that I started last yr 'cuz there's "only" 3" of frost where I'm diggin' at:D

How about you guys?

not sure yet...
my new job say I can't push my riding cause I need to be commited to my work...
chris says "I'll look for a different job then, thank you :)"

BF....I engineer my stuff to be just big enough for satisfaction yet relatively safe...you know this:cool:
How much free time you got? If it's enough...you're in.

i plan to push myself riding and spend more time off the bike and on the trails as well.

my goals as far as riding...

- the air supply gaps.
- sideshow drop
- totally clean the rock faces down the end of boogieman in to the pildriver while wet.
- just get better on my bike.

i'm not really down with making a list and getting all badass about progressing, but those are just some things i'd like to aspire to this summer. for the rest, just ride as much as i can wherever i can....i'd like to try and get a little more off the beaten path and see some more "out of the way" trails.

Yeah, the two main things I went to focus on this summer are dirt jumping and just riding as much as I can.

Interesting. I don't know where I will be since I am coming off a bad injury that has taken all winter to rehab. Went for a street ride the other day. My injured hand is still bothering me. So go faster, recover faster, and not get hurt. Those are my goals.

Sorry loopie the season never ends in Vancouver.

My plan this year is to have alot of fun on my bicycle.

probably continue a safe and steady progression like last year, weekly whistlker rides, some shore to start off the season.
Just generally go faster, smoother, drop higher, jump better.

- the air supply gaps.
- clean the rock faces down the end of boogieman in to the pildriver eccept, not while it's wet like Zaskar
- work on a new no hander I've named "the flying scare crow"

My plan this year is to have alot of fun on my bicycle. Nor does it in Seattle. Actually did some progressing over the "off season". I still haven't put my bike down since last spring - and I only put it down then 'cuz I was getting into snowboarding (which I did ZERO of this winter:???: ).

Just ride, I reckon! And also try not to cripple myself unnecessarily:eek:

agreed. for two years now i've pulled out my ski/board stuff but never really end up doing much on snow - think i went boarding twice  it's just so much more fun to keep on riding, specially in snow :P

and i'm definitely down with the fun thing - no real plans other than just trying to progress a little.

id like to clean boogie rock face into pd clean and sideshow gap. not a for sure thing, but those are some things that scare me and i want to conquer my fears.

cleaning all of clownshoes is on and off for me. id like to get better at that.

other than progression i more than anything want to have fun.

My goal was to NOT buy another bike, but I blew that last weekend and bought another hardtail, so I'm gonna step it up a bit this year.

Wanna keep riding with the boys, clean lotsa skinnies, and try not to blow too much dough doing it.

try to learn a couple of street-y moves like barspins and stalls and wallrides... that's all I want as far as street is concnerned. And relearn my old DJ tricks which I lost last year, and learn some new ones...
Do big jumps.

And have lots of fun riding!

Goals for 2004:

1. Find the limits of my new Giant DH Team with Dorado's.

2. Keep my arm in its socket and my humerus in one piece so I can hold my new baby in June.

3. Rally the excavators and bobcats to build the sickest set of DJ's in the interior.

4. Have the most fun possible riding with good friends and enjoying the freedom of being on 2 wheels.

TheGiggler
03-11-2004, 08:51 AM
like Rat, I just want to have fun and stay off the injured list... meeting new people is a bonus too.

so a little emphasis on progression but I'm not going to push myself like I did last fall (and break myself).

riding smooth and not breaking parts would be a sweet goal too.

also I want to get off the Shore and ride other places more... and I definitely want to try riding the whistler bike park :thepimp:

ride24/7
03-11-2004, 09:11 AM
Progression for me comes as it comes, sometimes I get the urge to push and try a bunch of new things in a row. Other times none at all for a long time. The main goals are fun, friendship, and staying healthy and of course ride as much as I can.. The only real goal I have for this year is to do the test of metal in under 4 hours. No really the kind of progression most are talking about here.

make my bobcat and excavator go VRROMM! and build some sweet jumpers in my back yard.
Learn various airborn tricks, as well as ride some street.

Get a working bike that doesn't break too much.

Ride dh and fr trails really fast on a ht.
Have fun, and not get hurt.

I'm with Rat, statix, etc.. I'm gonna have fun, and try not to hurt myself.

I've spent waaaay too much time in the last year being injured, not because of biking mind you, but that's not important!

Late Bloomer
03-11-2004, 05:55 PM
Yeah, it's alot easier to have more fun when you're not broken.

Hope everybody can make it thru the season relatively intact! Me too (knock on wood)!!!:D
