I can't wait!!!! I hope to go up more than 2 times this season. Last year was a bad year for Whistler for me. I had the chance to go up some times but couldn't and then the two times I could go up I wasn't "feelin it". First time I hit a tree head on hile riding A-line (concussion and couple sprained fingures). Second time I had to rent helmet and could only get a half so I was taking it easy. Now I've got a new helmet, gloves, leg pads and some other parts and I'm ready for the green monster and the clown shoes drop.

1) read the organization's (NSMBA) name....it'll give you a clue to why they don't get involved at the bike park.

2) save your labour for North Shore trails....they need the help and NSMBA does not have Intrawest's deep pockets to fund the love,

3) i go to Whistler to ride not work

4) when I fork out the dough to ride trails, I expect that the trails will be pimped up nice for me......

On top of which, if you want to do work in Whistler, there is a dedicated organization there called WORCA, who dol ots of good work buffing up the trails down in the valley - some awesome riding, but you actually have to pedal to get there...

well its says in the article on the front page that they are clearing snow off the trails still so im thinking it might be a little mucky for a the first few weeks, weather depending.

Got my pass today, its a sweet green with Chad comin down the Joyride rockface, member since 1999, damn I been here a long time, 5th year in the park, wonder how many runs I have, seen the evolution of that place, can't wait til Saturday, Fitz may be open due to Gondy traffic on the weekend, hope it don't rain, see you first chair.....................

That would be Chad Hendron, extremely Canadian rider, he was buddy doing the hip that was up on the big Sundail poster all last year. Oh and I paid $250 because I have a winter seasons pass, cause I actually live here, I ride downhill to get to the park, its sweet.

I thought i would give a little whistler bike park update. I was there on sunday and I was checking what was built and how the trails were and all that. The trails are looking good, not really that muddy from the snow, but higher towards the mid station, there are large patches of snow. Also, nothing had been built at the bottom of the park since they had the big air competition to finish off the telus ski and snowboard festival. I have no idea what they're going to do with all that snow. Things are looking good for sure.

What they acualy did last year to get rid of the snow is they got a water bomber to fly over full of hot water and dumped it on the snow and it all melted. Iot was acually really cool to see.

They normally dont have biker cross and boneyard open for a month or so

Yes unfortunatly I have been in and out of housing since I moved here, I've lived in Bayshores, Alta Vista, and Alpine Meadows, in those times. Now I think I am kick it in the Ghetto for awhile, easier then moving every year. And if the trails are even remotely dry they will open what they can. Remember that Aline gets thrashed in the winter as well, and Dirt Merchant was used as the snowshoe route, meaning packed snow up high. Out of 145 days available to ride who's gonna get the most...???

That way when your tired ass hell after all those runs you can just cruise it downhill back home

The only problem with Staff is its on Blackcomb, and Fitz creek is between us and Whistler, but climbing a DH bike up to Base 2 is a good workout at the end of a long day DHing, also the busses have bike racks, 50cents to get up the hill, too bad the Demo 9 is too long for them.....anyone read of the new trails going in on the website...."Stunted Growth" a stunt trail, b line upgrade to be more A lineish, and some blue trail thats a mix of single track and man made berms, sounds good hope the trails keep coming.
