Im glad to hear riding on Fromme isn't in total danger quite yet. It gives me more hope of riding it one day. What caught my attention about what councellor Crist wants in an update report is: "the complaints and concerns raised by District residents pertaining to the ongoing destruction of parks and pedestrian pathways as a result of mountain biking;" part.

For whomever is involved with this directly, (NSMBA?) I'd suggest you get a petition/document stating all the POSITIVE comments/signatures of local residents. From what I gathered by following this event, I'm guaranteeing you could obtain an effectively higher number than his desired report would gather. If he's so concerned about what these "many local residents" have a problem with, maybe he'd also consider what the rest of the local residents either support, have no problem with, or don't even notice at all. It might help.

Anyway, that's just a suggestion, some one might already be out there doing it....but if not, maybe this suggestion can be my part in helping the battle. Good luck.

Does no one want to try this out? Maybe the issue isn't that bad...but to me the sound of "no more riding on fromme" scares the hell out of me, even if it's just an extreme. And I've never even rode there before. As a biker on the WestCoast I still feel it's a part of me, one day I know I'll be over there riding, I just want to do my part to make sure that day can still be possible in the future. If fromme goes down, what's next?

Kevan, try PMing Sharon on this board... she's with NSMBA and could definitely help. Great idea, just like the trail head surverys last summer, numbers are the best way to get credibility or some such ;)
