I had a 2002 Big Hit DH, and I couldn't get the E.13 DRS to fit. The ISCG mounts didn't line up. Specialized and E.13 blamed each other for this. But even trying with using the BB cup to keep the E.13 in place didn't work. In the end I ran two rings without a chain guide, and it worked fine. The chain line on the Big Hit was awesome.

you'll need a 128mm bb

use the iscg mount that comes with the guide and use the long bolts so it screws into the frame. from there its straight forward.

are there any other chain guides that arnt too expensive that would involve no buying a new bb?

Hell ya it will fit, I just put an 04 SRS version on 2003 Bighit expert with a 118mm BB. Not one problem except chasing the threads on the ISCG tabs. Took me less than 1 hour to install. Works good, great chain line. I have no complaints.

Just use a drill and make it fit?

yes the E13 SRS and DRS systems will work on a Big Hit with a 118 b.b. spindle

here is a DRS on a '03 Big Hit DH

btw. on the DRS you will not be using the ISCG's,

not sure if you will use them on the SRS or not that'd be a E13 question........ seemed that others had used them though on their SRS

and oh yeah if you got questions just give E13 a ring and John P. will pick up or give you a call back their customer service rocks!!!!!

You screwed up. :) Keep in mind I had an 2004 model which had the ISCG boomerang holes longer. I can't think of why your crank wouldn't move. I had no problems, except fabricating a spacer for my BB. Standard BB gear though, not E13s fault.

Their customer service is great.

You'll use ISCG tabs. Those specs are fucked (19mm???), you need to do some of your own research now.

I was not able to use the ISCG's as they did not line up, but John at E13 told me he didn't think they would.

I placed mine behind the b.b. cup,

(it's also a E-type so it screwed directly into the frame with the der. on it pretty sweet little set up but that's only on a DRS)

my BB is a FSA Euro Pro bb. will this work?

i emailed Evil several times about diferent thigns, and they said that it would fit perfect on my frame. the only thing i have to do is put on the extra ISCG tab or w.e that they give you.

If you're running two chain rings, try running it as is. It was my experience that the Bighit doesn't drop the chain.

If you're running a single chain ring, try a bash guard and an Envy inner ring. I used this setup on my RM Switch, and I never dropped the chain.
