thats bad news.there was similiar talk of that happeneing on the sunshine coast, although no trials would be sacrificed.it was still enough to encite all sorts of complaints, and there was a meeting held.finally,it was decided that the riders up here would not be happy with a golf course wrecking part of the forest, and in fact it would generally not be worth the trouble.thus, the idea was scrapped but for a while it was looking pretty bad...

but here they are starting in like 2 or 3 months so i gotta make the best of what i have left
thats old news. it will only be the lower trails south of the main fireroad T ie: b-1, assassin, lower assassin (RIP), rollercoaster, etc. just means more building will have to be done elsewhere on the mountain and on mt prevost.

haha yeah
why not get out and build instead of waiting for others to do it? oh wait that would mean actual work and putting something into what you take out...
SUCK IT UP AND GET THE SHOVELS OUT!

Umm not much in the way of stunts, theres a nifty little trail thats fun to ride and practice the DH. If you want that you gotta go to Nanaimo. Gimme a pm of when you are coming up here.

ya the gap is gonna be toast i think. they haven't quite started wasting it all yet, but they are going to soon. the equipment is moving in and they've been shoring up the fire roads with gravel and stuff. some clearling has begun in smaller sections but all of B-1/rollercoaster is still there for now...

damn, assassin was a fun rip to end a day.
I'm with blaine, less bitch - more build.
theres some cool shit started on cobble hill mtn if anyone wants to take that over, we just kinda lost interest in riding and building altogether, its shame i know.
I havent been up there in awhile, but we had a few drops and log rides going, one nice ladder to a log to skinny got smashed when another tree fell on it. that mountain has lots of potential, its an easy ride up and the ride down can be made pretty long. shuttle-able if you have a 4by that can make it through the ditch around the gate on empress.
ya all the thetis lake shit got torn down ages ago. lots of nice trail building gets jacked but not much you can do about it.
well i'm moving to van soon so i won't have to worry anymore. the shore will be my new backyard :thepimp:

Join SIMBS or NSMBA (if you are there). Tire tracks and stunts don't count as votes in our favour. If it is private land we have no say at all. Just remember people pay money to play golf most riders just spend their cash on their bikes and that's it. Got to get political (yes it is slow and horrible) but if we don't we will be renegaded to the backwoods of the land until there is none left!
I hate commuting to ride! Join an organization that fights for all of us and show up at council meetings!

ARGH! FUCK! KILL!
B-1 to RollerCoaster (originally called Quick Exit) were the first trails I ever rode a mountain bike on. The FIRST trails. I was ten years old and I remember being just blown away that such amazing ribbons of dirt existed above the subdivision where I'd been playing with friends my whole life. I couldn't believe that such an awesome thing existed......I remember being so scared to ride down the steepest ravine on the Roller Coaster, then skidding the whole way down and not being able to pedal up the other side. Another time when I was probably 11 years old I compressed at the bottom of that same ravine going way to fast and stacked into the uphill side.
When I was back home at christmas a few months ago my friend Dylan and I were no-braking the entire trail and boosting off the tops of the rolls in a big way -
That trail saw my riding in all its stages, there were days when we would ride the roller coaster backwards on our way up the mountain, barely grinding up the steep gulleys in granny gear. A couple years ago my friend Eli and I built all the jumps on the trail, and gradually the trail morphed from "Quick Exit" to the "Roller Coaster."
Mt. Tzouhalem is my birthplace...........
