Rossco, why do you say your limited to a 2.5" on your Slider ???
i had a michelin 2.8" on mine... and that was on a DBLwide for gods sake...
but my Intense 2.7" didnt fit, without some sideknob trimming...:D
u might wanna try out the Michelin comp16 2.5"...
http://cycleus.webmichelin.com/tires/comp16soft.htm
i run them frt/rr on my HT and i really like it...in fact i prefer them to the Comp32....

I'm runnin the Blue groove up front and i like it better than my high roller super tacky, which wasn't a bad tire iin the first place.

well my ARROW 2.3 is about 2mm off the arch.. so I just thought the rest would be the same.. plus I dont really want a big tire.. and I would like hard compound not somthing ill spend 80$ on and have it be a SO SO tire half way threw the season..
but I will take a look into it :D you are the gear god so
why do you dislike highrollers?
I've ridden almost every good tire out there and the highroller is the only one that truly impresses me. Supple, super good traction and it rolls fast...cuts corners like a madman. I love em. 2.5 in ST is perfect for trails. the hard 60duro wears well and I have no problem with 60d highrollers in the wet.
Ive become real bias on this subject  but its for a good reason.
well if u want something that will last i suggest a Intense 2.35DH...
those tires last for ever...but i warn you its ONLY good in the dry...
dont try to run them in the wet season...

Not sure if you've been to JH lately, but I can guarantee you they have more tire stock than any other LBS.
JH will price match anything out there.... and for 30 days.
You could use www.bikeroom.com, but then again, you want your product to actually arrive.
of course JH has more tires in stock... cuz they want to much for em...
go to Cove adn get the same tire for way less...
in fact JH sometimes seems more like a tire store then a bike shop, they have em piled everywhere...haahaahah

Ross, I recently got some of the new Kenda tires. Blue Groove for front, Nevegal for rear. I got the 2.3" versions because they're somewhat light (about 800g). Still, the traction is awesome in the current conditions (probably on par with Michelins) . Don't know what they'd be like in the dry, but I think they'd be pretty good. Price is pretty good too.

I just saw the Nokian NBX yesterday at the shop....That looks like a kick-ass all-round tire:)...haven't ridden it yet of course. (they come stock on some of the Kona's...if your shop carries Konas, you can have a look)
High roller is an awesome tire. Yes...starting with a new one makes a difference:)
