Well I got my beautiful new 2004 Flick today, and I have one question: how does the travel adjuster thing work? What do you do to use it? How do you use it? :???:
Thanks alot guys.

Turn it, and push down on the Fork... you'll hear clicking and the fork won't rebound back up to full travel. Turn it back, push down, you'll hear a click and the fork will rebound back up to 5" of travel again.
Don't ride it hard in the reduced travel mode... that will result in a busted travel adjuster.

I've never owned a manitou, but, I think you twist it, and then push the fork down with yur weight going through some of the travel, then it'll stop in one place.... I think:???:

thanks guys. so the horrible clicking noises arent a bad thing? and by riding hard, how hard do you mean? would moderate sized dirt jumps be bad for it?

DO NOT ride anything in the reduced travel mode, except for climbs. Don't even lift the front wheel off the ground, in the reduced travel mode, unless you absolutely have to.
Trust me on this one. It will save you time and money in the long run.
The fork should only be clicking when you are changing the travel setting. If it clicks when you are normally compressing it, you may want to have it serviced.
Since it's brand new, it's a good idea to get the oil changed anyways.
