Who here trains with a road bike?

I always thought it was lame to "train" on the road - I'd much rather be riding my REAL bike - but I've just started riding raod for fitness and it really helps. Much easier to get a good, consistant cardio workout, which leads to more stamina and better riding. Anyone else ride road?

used to. it can be totally cool - utterly different way of interacting with the bike and your environment. i used to have a dope bike too, wish i still had it

its fun,specialy group rides ,lotsa interaction ,stronger riders helping to pull weaker riders back to the pack,you can go out for a ride and nothing breaks,in 2 years I bot 2 spare tubes and a tire


recommend you find a group ride with some buffed female triatlethe types

when im back in cali, i ride my road bike all the time.
its fun, its fast, and its not worth nearly as much as my good bike, so i ride it when i can. gotta fix the brakes.. i live up a big hill.. it doesnt really stop..:eek:

i need to bring it out here to montana.

Specialized road bikes feel the best, if I had a lot of money$$$, I would train on a roadbike, a nice one

its great in the fall and early spring when you want to take a break from the mountain bike, but still want to ride.

It definately makes you a stronger rider.
