I just got the "official" fromme map (the one with the powerbar) and i am a bit confused. On the lower section below the 1st i usually hit King of Shore-Lower Griffen. The problem is from looking at the map i don't think i was on king of the shore. At the towers i make a right across creek then head down the path and make a right maybe 150 yards down the path to get on the trail. This is what i thought was king of the shore. By looking at the map the trail i want is Dreamland-KingofShore. I am going up sat and i will do a little "exploring" on the way up. Just want to see if it is worth my time.

yeah, just explore all the trails and ride 'em.
when i got that map i couldn't figure out the lower trails either... still can't.
for one thing, not all the trails are on the map.
and secondly the scale needs to be way bigger to really get an idea of the trails under the 1st switchback...

yah, walk in the clouds isn't on this map, but the one on nsmba.com has it. This one definatly has a lot more trails.
yeah there are so many little trails down there its hard to tell. king of the shore is around there somewhere. i dunno. just dont worry about the name and ride it.

It depends which trail you took actually.
Both trails are along that creekbed but Griffen is a little further along. KOTS is a little earlier and it has some little uphills as well. It was built as an XC loop for a raise series a few years ago.
You would know Griffen by the switchbacks before entering mountain view park.

I get really confused in that whole are, there's a whole jumble of trails. It's like I can never take the same one twice. Which is fun in it's own way:)

did you find it?
For the NSMBA trail days we would like to fix up Griffen this year and maybe king of the shore.
We are also hoping the district will come out with some better maps.
I hope you didn't kill any frogs on your way out...
