Hey Everyone,

I was reading the trinity thread and sitting there thinking..."Wow, I sure wish I could help..." and then it hit me...I can help...with your help.

I'm offering a framed 8X10 print of any shot on my website, or any shot I have for that matter, to the highest bidder. All the proceeds will go to Trinitys recovery fund. I don't really know how to do this so I'll do a silent auction thing I guess. Email me at mike@mikeberard.com with your amount and I'll end the auction sometime close to the Outdoor show? Once Justin and Elaine get the check, I'll frame a shot and send it to you. What do y'all think? let's do our part to help out someone instead of bitching at each other over dumb shit on the forum all day! Let me know what you think. Thanks, Mike

P.S.- if theres a better way to do this, let me know!

Excellent idea Mike.

One thing I think you should do Mike is start the bidding @ X dollars, to cover your costs. I know it's for charity, but if it costs you (totally making up these number) $50 to put everything together and the winning bid is only $60, then you're doing most of the donating.

Just my opinion though.

I'm stoked to announce I got my first bid for the trinity fund photo so keep em coming and lets help this girl out! As for covering my costs, I'll make sure it's not too exhorbitant but don't worry about me...I'll cover the frame and all that, it's cool. I just want to help out Trinity. So, Thanks again and keep those bids coming in! Mike

Yeah, good idea but unfortunately, I'd be running around doing that 8 hours a day for weeks on end getting those orders done(if it was a success anyway) and I gotta work too! Plus $50 barely covers the framing and print cost so economically, it wouldn't work for anybody...most importantly Trinity! Not a bad idea though!

OK,
This took awhile to get together in my head, but I've got to say this. Never in my life have I met such an amazing bunch of people. I have never met most of you, and some of you may remeber me as the hack that just rode along during Friday Night Urban rides, but what seems to count the most is that I am remembered as a guy who cares, and now I have been repayed for my decency to you, in more ways than I ever thought exsisted.
A lot of you only know my daughters story through the words, the stress and tears that I have posted here, and through my wifes e-mails and posting on Trinity's website. We feel so cared for, and so blessed by all of you out there, Johannes for revamping the www.trinitysdiary.com . Eric for his silent yet strong support. Jesse, and all the Rockers, for the Shirts, and moral support. The Roberts family, for coming and playing with my girl. Colin for his donation of time, money and work. Jim, and Harookz, for photos. Mike, for the Photo auction. NSMB, for all of the stuff that I've been writing and letting me post it here, and ALL OF YOU GUYS with the parts sale idea. Holly, for all that you have done in trying to help out, in the Abby area. I hope that there is time enough for Trinity to realise all of this help that has been coming form her Earth Angel Network (thats you guys' new name!).
I will be honest, there is not much time left, and we have been spending it wisely, all that you do for us will give us the chance to lay her to rest properly, in a way that befits my Warrior Girl, my Brave Little Soldier, the one that has inspired all of you to such good for one little family. It will help us rebuild our lives, and look toward a new life, one that will be hard, but hopeful and probably filled with counselling, and ultimately, we will have another little one, and maybe we will be able to it right. The work that you all put forth for Trinity, will not be wasted. Somehow we will find a way to thank each and every one of you, I don't know how, but we'll figure it out.

I hope this helps you guys to understand how I feel, I am blessed to have a family like you.

Justin

Justin, Don't even think about us...it's the least we can do to make the time you have with Trinity as good as it can be! Children are such a great gift and I just want you to spend all the time you can with your little girl!

On another note, I've decided to award the same deal to the top 5 bidders so get your bid in, I'll end the auction on the 10th and let the winners know then. And for all those worried about the price, I'll let you know that the bids right now are much less than $250 so feel free to make a bid. Thanks everyone, Mike

A little off topic but... where was that first picture in the mtb section of the site shot? It looks familiar.

I dont really want to be forking out like $250 for a picture so this was my idea:S

Are you serious blah!? hhaha its not 250 for a picture, its 250 for a great guy and his family to live on!

Hey Everyone,

Well the auction is over and I'm stoked to say we've raised about $500 for Justin and Elaine. Although little Trinity is no longer with us, I'm sure the proceeds will help out this incredible family in their time of need. I'd like to thank the people who helped me out with all this, Allie Jenkinson, my parents(all three of them!) and anyone who sent money, put in time or gave some positive thoughts for Trinity. The lucky/generous winners are:

Tammy Schouw(who put up her photo for a draw at IDNS)
Lynea Small
Michael Meade

Hey

I was wondering if you guys might have any ideas for me. I'm helping cordinate a fundraiser at my school for the Trinity Trust Fund...And I need some good ideas that can be done in school. We already have donations, bake sale, and bottle drive. Any other ideas would be greatly appriciated!
