So the other day a friend gave me a copy of 'bicycle magazine' and inside it said that the current official world record according to the Guiness Book of Records is 13 ft by a Spanish guy. I think I may go for the record. Doesn't it seem weird that they wouldn't have any of Benders drops on there/

prolly because for it to qualify as a drop he has to land it ;)
Do it, call them up and see what the stipulations are (maybe its to flizzat?!)
I heard you need some guinness officials o hand or something... It would be cool to get a pro canadian to go for it (Especially Wade!)

I'm pretty sure thats to flat, with the officials on hand and on possibly on a trials bike.
the guinness guys could take a look a the NWD 3 cover and give it wade :thepimp:

I bet it's zero suspension as well.
Once you start incorporating different levels of suspensions you'd take away the ability to truly judge the riders ability.

i guess i have broken the world record then. along with many others.
if it's no suspension tons of guys have beaten that, even if it's to flat and on a stock trials bike or whatever. 13ft to flat is big, but not that big.

I'm pretty sure that the drop record would be more than that.

well i read the Guiness 2004 book a few days ago, it read: "highest drop on a bicycle": 13ft and a few inches....
it was at some sort of mexican stunt show or somthing! It was on a BMX

The highest indoor BMX ramp jump is 5.12 m (16.79 ft) by Germany's Timo Pritzel and Spain's Jesús Fuentes on the set of El Show de los Records.

I saw it on the Guiness Book Record web site.
It was indoors, and the run up ramp had a certain length (75 feet), then there was a high jump bar that was 5+ meters up in the air. I think they measured from the floor up to the bar and not from the top of the take off or landing spots.
This probably just the Guiness official record which does not mean much in the real world.

As far as I'm concerned Bender going 46ft is the record that really counts.
