Well our Jump Park got approved and we can start digging in 6 weeks! Now we need a design. I need some good Ideas so if anyone has any submit them here! We got one hectare of land ,in a field, on a slight hill. We want tables and gaps. Nothing huge, we dont want insurance to cost a tone.

The land they marked off for us is a perfect square too.

Why dont you do a small medium and large set of 3 jumps in a row. If you run them all parallel down the field it might open up alot of transfer lines aswell. Make the small set small and tables because there are always going to be kids who dont know what they are doing.

Okay, so apperently whistler has a standard design, if we follow their "standard jump sizes" insurance will be cheap. I also would like to add some transfers onto some of the bigger tables that woudl be cool, and lots of nice gaps in the advanced section.

And the meeting went alot better than we thought at first, Land is beign re-zoned as park and we have 6 weeks to raise money for a fence if we want to dig right away.

I think it is good if thre is a circut.

Have the jumps go down on side, then a berm at the end
and have the jumps come back

Like the whistler dirt jumps used to be

make the gaps very in size in the line:D

Yeah man, of hips and that size sounds rad. Do you want to come down Island for the building day? We are going to have a d6 cat for piles and a bobcat for shaping, than lots to people with shovels touching up everything. I think Jay Hoots might come over.

Check out the brits on this one, if you are looking for flow lines in that kind of bmx track format they have tons of indoor sites that are great to check out. That concept sketch is wicked, that would be quite an achievement if you could build something like that.

Imagine being able to run that many dirt jumps in a row with speed that makes itself for the most part. Fun

You can rent a bobcat for 250 a day might be worth while

I'd say a small 4 pack and bigger 4 pack, and a 6 pack, that are spaced out far enough for room to grow. This will allows for new lines in the future and other hits to form on future builds and modifications.

The other thing I'd suggest is a dirt spine with a railway tie on top. These are always fun and can open up lots of new lines to ride and link up with the trails.

The key is to have a series of jumps that allow for different skill levels, this keeps the bigger jumps in nice condition etc...

Ya I have a feeling if there is only large sized jumps there will be some problems, you can't design the park around yourself you need to think of the other riders that will be riding there aswell.

It's the painful truth...but, it also gets others out there and they eventually work themselves up and the cycle continues!

ps - That's a DOG, Ryan???? Looks like a sheep!!!;) Either way, it's got madd skilz!

My Friend Ryan has a Bobcat :D , and John Plant excavating is gonna come out and help one day with a D6 cat :).
Ryan H: I know we will have somethings for all skill levels. But we want some callenging stuff too and we will have them sort of seperated so beginners dont hit the big stuff.
Im thinking Beginner section:
- a few rows small and medium tables and maybe some little tranfer lips in between

Advanced section:
-Bigger tables and tranfer lips, A line of flowy gaps not too big and Some bigger gaps. MAybe a couple Big Air jumps closed off for demos or comps.
Have the advanched section flow into a wall ride at the end and for begginer secion they can all flow into a burm.
