dude paintin over the chips wont help at all they will just show after its finished. what u should do is sand all the paint off and use a autobody filler to fill the chips, then prime the helmet paint it and then clear coat it.
i just finished doin my helmet and im gonna start custom painting them so let me know if ur interesed or have any questions

no its car paint ur will need somone to spray it on unless u have a spray gun or air brush and a compressor
i recomend u swing buy a smaller auto body shop with a case of beer and the pain and get them to do it, dont bother a bigger shop like craftsman or anythin cuz they wont do it orr they will want u to pay them.

yes fill the chips with auto body filler such as the light weight filler from north shore auto parts.
sand it with 100 grit paper into the right shape, then 150, then 220, then 280. then paint
i did my car this way, lucky for me i also have a compressor, a spray gun and an air brush
i heard adri was a haxor! jookes:thepimp: adris come down to the shop with the helmet, we'll use Kim's camera to get some shots of the lid. and anyone who wants to know if it's good ask tyler M. mr. helmet himself.
post up some pictures of your work dude.

NO NO NO
dont do it your self get it done from someone that does goalie masks such as macmasks.com or hart desgins. Any other paint than the stuff they use will eat a way at your mask and make it weaker

sand it so the paint has something to hold on to:D
