seymour is shuttleable, that is a fun mtn, cbc has sum really well built stunts that will bnlow ur mind but they r all fairly ez to ride, neds is a fast trail with sum small gaps and drops, boogie is good, i won't give u all the other ones tho. froom(grouse) u have to ride or walk up the old fire road to get to any of the good trails, and cypress u can drive up, more old school shiat reoded steep rocky that old thang

appreciate it!!!!!!!!!
fromme(grouse) has upper oil can correct? I really like the idea of non shuttlable mtns with good trails.
edit: meaning the only way you can get to the top is by your own power, don't get me wrong shuttling all day is the shit too!:thepimp:
all 3 local mtns are climable if you want to....
but Cypress and Seymour are the hills u see most people shuttle....
Grouse is climb only...

Hey Sean,
Even when ya shuttle stuff, there's pedaling involved. If I'm reading between the lines correctly here, you'd better step up the training schedule.
The first time you do a full top to bottom on Seymour (CBC to the Cove side) it takes about three hours, what with the checking out the lines beforehand and doing trickier lines more than once, etc. Even at full tilt count on about 90 minutes a lap. A good loop on Fromme is about the same (3 hours). Cypress is usually shorter laps (less vert) but it's way steeper and usually gives you tourist types the biggest headaches.
Bottom line: do lots of pedaling and you will have the fitness for the big descents. Look at Shandro. He used to do the XC races the day after the DH's at the World Cups just to stay in shape.
Or screw it and drink lots of our overproof beer while you're up.
I'm going to Whistler to chew up some pow now. Have a good one.

Smoke,
thanks man, I've been doin alot of pedaling up lately even in all the damn snow we have gotten recently.

I've started to ride some of my older XC spots on the big bike just for the hell of it, just to get out on longer rides.
I was reassuring myself that there was a mtn that was only pedal accessable, I want to be able to hit up as much as possible and don't want to hinder myself by not feeling full tilt all the time.
I'm also asking because of trying to figure out who I can and can't ask to tag along on the trip, some folks just aren't up for climbing, so they'd need to stay home:o
yeah those short steep climbs are a killer, I'll be hurtin but that's ok:D
edit: btw: speaking of pow you lucky bastad, we got like 3 inches of ice lastnight, it's a damn mess
