ok, so I despise my front derailer and want to run double bashguards up front cause im poor and cant afford a chainguide. so my question is do i need any kind of special bashguard for the inner ring? will a normal bashguard work? im putting this on a VPS by the way. thanks

you should be able to use a regular bash on both sides, the bb axle may not be long enough tho

ah i need to get a whole new bb anyways, thanks a lot shorebiker:cool:
Blackspire sells a inner bashguard for hella cheap...
its ramped to assist the chain to return to the ring during riding...
seems to work realy well, but its kinda noisy...
expect to pay around 25$ i think...

$25 is pretty damn good compared to a chainguide, i think ill just get one of those, thanks guys
you need to supply the bolts and spacers thou...
the Blacksprice inner-E is just a inner bashguard... nothing more...
but your LBS should have the parts to assemble the rest of what u need easily...

i prefer running a plastic inner ring, cuz it doesnt make a noise and works just as well as a metal inner ring.

I could hook you up with a brand new lexan inner bashguard for 20 bucks. PM me if you want.

You could make one for the cost of a Cutting board...
