I want to know the nitty gritty details about this frame, as it is my #1 choice for my next frame (at this point in time).

The website states that it's made of Columbus Nivacrom tubing. This is good stuff (from what I gather), but the frame is super cheap ($500 telephone quote -Jeff better beat it!). I wonder if only a couple of the tubes (downtube and toptube?) are the nice chromo, and the rest of the bike might be lower qual, cheaper stuff.

I called the Cove, but they don't have a clue, so I'll probably have to wait until Jeff returns before I get an answer (January).

Has anybody else asked this question? Anybody know the answer?

I would imagine the whole frame is made of Columbus. Call the new shop and ask for Gabe or Smoke, those mofos should know.

From my understanding the handjob is not built as burrly as a stiffie, ,but if used as intended it will lasta long time(ie, xc, trail riding), not 20ft huck to flat. Still a quality frame, good welds, and material

I suck, I don't worry about breaking bikes. My goal is to build the ideal all-mountain rig. I want to be able to ride up seymour without dabbing again, but still be able to ride down without dabbing. Stiffee would be nice too, but I'm on a budget, and the frame also won't fit my XYO post ( )

Yeah, you would almost thing a lightweight steel frame was meant for XC, but hey.
