Hey,

What are the advantages and disadvantages of running a 24" wheel on the back while keeping the 26" on the front. My rear hub is making a sweet grinding noise and my rear wheel just tranformed into a taco...mmm taco. Should I go for the 24" setup or go for the standard 26"? The frame is a 02' Kona Stinky with a Boxxer up front.

Cheers.

For that type of ride I'd stick with 26".

yaa to me 24 26 feels too slack, and not really as easy to get techy with, but that's just me. a 24 on the back is stronger, accelerates faster, but doesn't keep as high a speed as easy as a 26. some say a 24 gets caught up in ruts and rough stuff easier, but if ya throw a 2.7 or something bigger on there it should be good. i liked 24's with 2.7 highroller when i was running them
