Just chaning the spring on my RC, and the spring cannot be remove due to the reducers in the eyelet. Does anyone know if I can just press the reducers out or should my LBS do it?

You can do it yourself.
The reducers can be removed with pliers...It won't take much force at all. Just clamp on and work each one out.
If you have a pin set up with spacers (aluminum sleeves over the pin) like a Big Hit or Norco Shore etc. , you can use pliers (I find water pump pliers [channel locks] work well to remove it).
It is hardened steel, don't worry about damaging it.
Let me know if you need more info.

Damn, this 600 lbs spring is much taller than the 500 lbs. Anyhow you just tighten it up so that the spring doesn't move around. Correct????

Yup. It is fine if it is longer... Just be sure that the 600 x ___ number exceeds the stroke of the shock.
Example. My 2.5" stroke RC uses a 500 x 2.8. The 2.8 refers to how much the spring will compress before "coil bind" occurs and ruins my shock. It leaves me with .3" of preload ajustment.
Get it?
