Hey i was just wondering if a 20mm formula hub with a 20mm thru axle can be converted to a QR20 axle? And is it just as simple as pulling out thr thru axel and putting the QR20 axle in?

Yea, QR20 and regular 20mm, the hub's are all the same.

I am using a Marzoccchi "QR20" hub on my Shiver and I used the same one on the Slider. Neither were QR20.

only way it wont work is on the older QR20 hubs... which had a press in axle...

my old Zokie hub wouldnt work on my Sherman... in the end i sold it off with my Jr-T2....

replaced it with a Formula that i used in both my Sherman adn now the super-T....

hope that helps....

Were those the years of standard QR20? Before the QR20+ and the QR20 Pro?

yes.....its just QR20... no flaps at all to deal with...

every year Zokie makes the QR20 system more and more retarded...

finally with the 888 they have done it correctly....

my 04 super-T has the stupidest system ever....i truely hate it...

the little allen bolt/nut that holds the flap on? Looks kinda lame, yes.

I find it isn't a huge issue, because I rarely take my front wheel off. If it truely increases stiffness, I'll take a bit of inconvenience on the few times I take the front wheel off.

for 04 u have to "unbolt" the allen key that holds the strap on complelty... before the flap can be swung outa the way, then u can remove the wheel....

so their QR20 system is completly not QR at all anymore...

dont even get me started about the lack of tire clearance....

yep, i hated my jrt, was a pain in the butt since i have to take off the wheels to fit the bike in my car.

it's quicker if you just use a bolt on axle, just open the flops, undo axle and slide it out(dont need to unbolt the flops)
i prefer the shiver or boxxer style drop outs, much simpler, just as quick or quicker to take wheel on/off.

i find the QR20pro on my 2003 Jr T pretty simple and easy to use, and its truly quick release, no tools needed whatsoever

That's why I got a Shiver.

No stupid shit to deal with. No flaps, no extra bolts, no rubbing or massaging.

It's like sex. Stick it in and screw. Tweak a few bolts and your done. Great for everyone.

The Sherman Hex-Lock is by far one of the easiest systems I have ever used though. The Shiver I have to make sure the legs are aligned as well.
