Bikes may look pimp and i agree they do sometimes but they are sometimes all set up wrong.

those brakes blow for dh the ring is mega small, lack of a chainguide it seems, shithole pedals and wheels which are WAY to heavy is my reasoning bbike.

on the other hand those cranks rule it

after further review, I did not take as close of a look as i just did, yes that is still a pimp setup, but not 100% race. If i were ever to do redbull rampage, that would be my 1st pick in my arsenal.

i know the owner and the bike is set up for his riding....

not to mention anyone who owns a FOES DHS mono/Curnutt adn a 888 is a lucky bastard....

but i think the red nextLP cranks wont survive his riding long...

RaceFace told me those cranks are pureXC only...:(

otherwise i would have bought that set off the Blairchair auction....

On the whole it's sweet. But those are pinner XC cranks. I betcha RF wouldn't warranty those for that. It's just dumb to run beefy parts and ultralight cranks to save a few ounces. And there's no bloody way in hell that Next LP's are stronger than DH cranks. Otherwise, wouldn't RF just not make North Shores, and just make Next LPs for XC and DH?Not likely.
