I have an E13/Evil bashguard that's a little too big and was wondering if anybody knows a place where I can cut it to a smaller size. Thanks.

you can use a jig saw to cut it but it might not be a perfect circle afterwards haha

if u can find someone with a big enough laythe u could do it that way

Bandsaw.....

It's not hard to cut a circle either, just make a circle jig and it'll be good to go.

i have never heard of a circle jig

i would think it gives the piece a axle or axis to turn and cut on?

Yea, you use it to make circles out of wood.

Basically, you'd have to make an artifical spider out of wood (takes MAYBE 2 minutes), then bolt a wooden arm through the center. Put the whole thing on a bandsaw. Use the wooden arm to make sure the blade tracks in the same spot and spin the guard.

Voila, perfect circle.

Practice with a peice of wood first...

he probably got the regular size and wants to make it the size of the urban guard, because those have been on backorder since july. i think they're about half inch different. i was thinking about doing the same thing. sounds easier than i thought.

IFO did a sweet job. Not to mention the custom flat black paint on the inner side. Guess what? Evil's making black now too.

It's the last bike on the page.

thats cuz they copied my idea...

i ground C.C's down well over a year ago... prolly closer to 2 me thinks...:???:

p.s. Poser if your local to Vancouver/Richmond adn can drop it off at my work, i'll gladly grind 'er down...

of course you'll have to mark a ring off how much u need "trimmed"...

C.C did the same thing so PM him how he did it....

let me know..

try using a router (sp?) with a circle maker and a plunger bit

Yep, he speaks the truth. Probably a year and a half ago, possibly longer, IFO said, "Hey, you want this painted to match your frame?"

Basically, to get a perfect circle, bust out your geometry set and use your compass. Use a ruler to find the center of the bashguard. Then use your compass and draw to your hearts content. A thick black marker is ideal so that you can see exactly how much you're taking away.
