I just tried to remove my crank arms and its impossible to move them. They came on the bike, and I just wanted to make sure, am I supposed to turn the left AND right crank arm in a counter clockwise direction to remove them, or are they reversed like pedals? thanks.

cranks don't come out by spinning them. even if the bolt comes out which it will easily, you still need a crank puller.

Well, actually... If you're really desperate, just take out the bolts and ride around for a bit. When it starts to creak or clunk, stop and see if you can pull them off by hand.

Not the best way to treat your crank / BB interface.

If it doesn't work right away, just do a high speed huck off a 15 footer or something. Then Murphy will ensure it works. Plus you get the added bonus of not having to deal with anything but the emergency ward staff afterwards. ;)

Its not that I can't get the crank itself off, its that I can't get the bolts out. I am turning both of them counterclock wise, but I don't know if the threads are reveresed and maybe you have to turn it clockwise or something, its weird cause they just won't budge, and I didn't build the bike, these cranks came stock on the bike.

You turned both of them counterclockwise though right? This sounds like such a noob question, but last time I turned my pedals the wrong way and it was a real hassle to get them out.

That's correct - only BB and pedals are ass backwards.

Just remember this:
BB- RIGHT cup is REVERSE
Pedals- Pedal them backwards to install, forwards to get off.
