Here's my set-up.... 03 bighit frame , 03 jr.t. qr20
what i want is a dh , freeride bike all in one ,ok . I thought the 888 was going to be the fork to solve my dilemma.
Now i hear about front end height being an issue with this fork (mega tall)
I'm kinda sold on marz because of ease/lack of maintance
Is the shiver the obvious choice or maybe a boxxer team or a slider 7'' or go with the 888?
I just dont know , and i got no chance of trying any of these before i buy either

The obvious choice would be to buy the 02 super t I have for sale, I bought it new in March this year and it hasn't been ridden in 2.5 months. $700, we split shipping. No scratches anywhere. #1 shape!

It's all about how you want the bike to feel. Just because Schmoe doesn't like a high front end, that doesn't mean that it's not right for you.

I own a 03 Big Hit as well and have a 888 on order and was conserned about the height. So I measured the the head angle with the front end set at the new height of the 888. The head angle only changed by less then 1 degree if it's a big issue just run a 24" wheel on the front this will bring everything back in line. If the fork is a plush as it is supposed to be there might be more sag so it won't be to much of an issue.

I can't see writing a fork off for a height issue, esp when you ride a big hit with an adjustable head tube angle and BB height.
All the forks you mention would work very well, by the sounds of things.

I'm running the low bb height and the slack 66degree head angle and it feels just about right .
but im sure i could get used to
like i said why cant it be simpler, i guess its a good problem to have though:)
