when i pedal especially if im pedaling hard there is a clicking noise coming from the bb/cranks. i have race face prodigy cranks (which keep coming loose but i always tighten) and im guessing (lol) a race face isis bb (i have a stock flow). any one know why it would be cliking? it just started today..

Shot BB bearings, could be shot pedal bearings.

lotsa things. Take it to your LBS.

im gunan bet its the BB is going south...

i bet its a lower end unit like a SRX...which are wellknwon for having bearings made from tinfoil....

could also be pedals or the crank arms are lossening off yet again...

good luck... noisy cranks/bb are supa-frustrating....

I had the same problem and it was a pedal that was the problem. So check for any play in your pedal - see if it slides in/out on the spindle.

nah, the problem is is that the interface on your prodigy cranks is fuct. as you pedal, the crank arms rotate sligtly on the spline and when they stop they click. this was happening to me a while back. if you tighten down. and try to rotate the crank on the sline, you will see it has a little play. see if you can get it waranteed. else, get new stuff

man, cranks, pedals and bb are the most frustrating bike parts ever... they all seem to have some kind of issue and wear down so easily cause of the force exerted on them....

those parts take a beating...ugh my big hit pro squeaks sooo much

I think it's your cranks loosening off.. mine is doing the same thing.. tighten it, doesn't click, then when my right crank arm slowly winds itself off ( ) it starts clicking.

I'm pretty sure that's what's wrong with it.

try pulling everything you can appart, clean and grease it all. grease your BB spindle. Then, locktite your crank bolts in.

i had this problem ralph and all that was the matter was the coupling was loose. so darcy regreased it and cleaned it and shit and then put it all back together with no problems after...dont let them suck u in to buying ne thing until they show u wat the problem is...stay at the shop while they fix it...i got suckered into buying new pedals before they went in and found out that the coupling was loose.
