Shitty.

Underground storage is NEVER secured...don't be fooled no matter what the strata or security tells you. How many bikes get chopped out of these "secure" locations each year? Its disgusting. There is no safer place than locked up in your home out of sight..which is difficult for a lot of people due to various living situations, but it is the best place.

Sorry to hear.

I saw on the news that there was a bike chop-shop operation going on that the cops could do little about at the squatters campsite by Science World. Not sure if they are gone now, or if they were good or shit bikes, but it is definately happening.

I hope you find it!

Thanks Mullet. Chop shop and they couldn't do anything about it? Oh man - if I park illegally I get the full resources of the City of Vancouver plus collection agencies after me........but I don't want to get political here...

Well - she rides to work (from Upper Lonsdale - atta girl!) and her company won't allow her to store it in the office. Her only chocie is the underground garage which is supposed to be locked at all times (security pass, gate, etc). The bike was locked to a steel rail and the thief (ves) actually pried the rail off the ground. The lock was gone with the bike - only pieces of bike rack left.
