How do you Adj. Comp/Reb on a Vanilla shock, I just picked up a 2002 4by4 for my wife and want to adjust these setting. Looks like I'm going to have to take the shock apart to make those changes. Any help would be great thanks.

you cant adjust it on a vanilla shock, vanilla r's have rebound adjustment and to get the compression as well, you'll have to upgrade to a vanilla rc. i wouldnt mess with the shock if i was you, unless you have the tools and stuff to recharge it and know what your doing.

No dice...
A Vanilla has no external adjustment beyond preload (used to set sag).
A Vanilla R has Rebound, which is "slowed" via turning the red knob clockwise.
A Vanilla RC has both Rebound (red knob) and Compression (blue knob on the piggy back).
Fox Shocks are not user serviceable. It would likely cost you less or close to the same to upgrade that Vanilla to the RC than it would to send in the Vanilla for internal adjustments.
The shocks are all Nitrogen charged and need to be serviced by a facility with the right procedures and materials.

Thanks guys, I knew there wasn't anything external just wasn't sure if it could be adjusted internally. I know guy who race MX who rebuild their shock all the time I'll have them look at it. The stock rebound setting is to slow.
