I was wondering whether I get could get some input from some fellow riders.
I could probably get a a norco sasquatch frame for $150 and was wondering whether this is a good deal and would be worth picking up. I dont really know much about them along with the other norco hardtail lineup so I'm not sure.
See I'm planning on building up a hardtail bike, but I was originally planning on getting a .243 frame this summer (probably still am)
Is this a good enough of a deal to be worth it or should I just worry about my .243? or both maybe?
thx
what year is the frame ???
be sure to check all the welds on it... a HT is a all or nothing fframe... its not like u can replace any small part of it...
good luck... the price is decent if its a newer frame...as in 2002 or newer...

oh yeah, I forgot to give everyone the year...it's a 2002 norco sasquatch
That is cheap.. I'm selling my 2003 HT frame for a lot more than that.
If you're looking for parts for your new bike, give me a shout I've got a bunch I'm selling.

yeah, i figured it was a good deal but I'm not sure though...I could fork out the $150 bucks or wait untill this summer and spend more money on the .243 frame
how shore-worthy is the sasquatch? I don't know too much about it

yaa be sure to check the condition out to make sure all is good. i rode a 2001 and so did one of my good ridin buddies, and they held up to a ton of abuse. when i had my toy and he still had his sasquatch we were hittin some pretty sketchy stair doubles and stuff hehe.. his sasquatch held up really well. a .243 would definitly be sweet too, nice if you want to go single speed too, but it seems like an awesome all round bike too. what size is the sasquatch? personally id just buy 1 frame, and spend the extra money building it up nicely :)

it's a large frame...see the other thing though is that it's really convenient if i wanted the sasquatch.
The guy that is selling it lives in ottawa and I'm currently from the shore going to university in ottawa so I could get it here and take it back with me this summer...hmmm, tough call
DO it...
:D
the .243 isnt worth waiting for... get the Norco frame now and start riding....

i had a 2002 sasquatch and loved it. Its an awesome all around freeride hardtail. I sold mine for $300 so 150 is a pretty good deal.

i would say go for it if the frame is good condition. i ride a medium 02 sasquatch with 01 super t's and i think its handles pretty good on the shore. i have no complaints at all.

Yeah... a .243 isn't waiting 9 months until you're able to go riding good. Although, if you won't be building either bike until you get back to BC, the .243 is probably the "better" bike.

hmmm, I need it to handle some urban riding...but I'm not really that hardcore so it should be ok...
I'm still a little iffy on the geometry, but we'll see

not sure about weight, but it shouldn't be more than 5 pounds.
-but it has 16.5" chainstays
-18" seat tube center to center
-24" horizontal top tube
-69 degree head tube angle with 5 inch fork and dual 26
ps. i think im the guy you want to buy the frame from.
