03 Z1 Freeride or 02 Shiver SC

So I'm thinking of getting rid of my 2003 Z1, I love the fork and the feel of it but it has problems, right now there is very noticable play in the right leg. I was thinking of sending the Z1 in to get warrentied and buy a 02 Shiver from a online parts company (ie. Jenson, Bikeroom) then when the Z1 comes back, sell the thing.

The Shiver is a really nice feeling fork, that's about all I know.

outa those 2 i'd def. rather have the ShiverSC....

at least u can run a decent size tire on that fork....:P

ya the shiver does have the advantage of tire clearance, overall, does it compare to the plushness and feel of the Z1?

shiver sc is the best trail riding sc there is. the dorado sc is probly better.. but its more expensive and i would think maintenence would be much more. i rode the shiver sc for 1.5 years and ddind;t do a single thing to them and they still worked flaulessley

i personaly chose the Z1 over the shiver cause im a hack....the lowers of my Z1 are killed. i needed the extra travel and the Z1 fits 2.5-2.6 tires that i like to run so the issue of clearance didnt bother me!! i honestly couldn't feel the difference in small bump sensitivity thats claimed but either way there great forks
