Anyone else notice their "Ask Specialized" FAQ lets you ask a question, but once you register, you can't ask any more questions?

The only reason Specialized makes bikes is so that a bike will actually use their components.

those are all personal preference components. ie - they end up being replaced first because people have different riding styles and they can't spec a bike for everyone. they're a huge company and have been making components forever so i think they can make halfway decent stuff. it also brings the cost of the bike down so you can add whatever rise handle bar you prefer.

I was just kidding around - mostly because I've never seen any Specialized components for sale in bike shops. But I think I've seen them in stores like Canadian Tire and Walmart.

I noticed that Specialized seems to not be using their own labeled cranks this year. Thank god. I have a 2002 Enduro and the only thing that sucks about it is the crappy Specialized crank.

$6500+ for the dh model, then you have to get rid of the shitty parts and tweak it out.
Or $3000 for jsut the frame
Looking to get one next year, hope the prices shape up a bit first
