at a club and you had a choice of DJ music, what kind of tunes and style would you pick? (of course the premier would be a mtb flick so keep that in mind for your type of hanging out folk)

I'd pick a little bit of everything :) That way, everyone complains the same amount!

I'd start by learning how to spell it properly. ;)
'Premier' is a political leader (i.e. Gordon Campbell), and 'premiere' is the the first showing of a movie (as in a Hollywood premiere).
But other than that, as long as the music is thumping, it's good.

mix it up with some different music but keep the volume at a level where I can chat with the bros. Im going to a movie preimere to see the flick and hang with freinds not listen to music.

Iron Maiden has enough songs to cover an entire night, I don't see what the problem is...:???:

:thepimp: Serve Beer, Wisers, and water for the racers, and go old school metal. I second the Iron Maiden mentioned earlier, followed by a smooth round of everybodys favourite get-stoked band - Slayer. Second choice of styles - nasty-ass punk. Of ourse, if your flic is about the Cross Country World Cup and stars Alison Sydor, Roland Green , et al., perhaps some ABBA and a nice Chianti!

That he does.
I'm also in agreeance with keeping it down a bit, good volume to chat a bit over...

I'll third that! You need to be able to hear the crowd sigh in awe or inhale in fear.

Maybe he's thinking about throwing a premier?
I wouldn't mind throwing a premier myself. And good music would only further the experience.

I was at the Tony Hawk Boom Boom Huck Jam and for the 20 minute jam session where there was no MC they had a band play a pile of classic (current stuff can still be classic) metalish type music. Everything from G'N'R to 9 inch nails but with no vocals - very cool
