IMHO thats one of your worst photos ever...

Your pics usually make me think "whoa!" but this one doesnt do anyhting for me

You can totally tell the difference between the exposure control on digital and SLR.

P.s. What automatic funtions do you have on the SLR?

Even point and shoot digital have manual controls. Unfortunately, they are often burried so deep in teh menu system that most people don't bother. On the bright side, digitals will often capture more shadow detail than film will.

This sucks I can see it just fine on my comp screen, you should be able to see my fork and disk too. I can also see it on the LCD screen on the camera.

Once again why digital sucks ass. And sharing photos across the net isn't the greatest idea haha

Your monitor contrast and brightness settings are probably higher than some of ours. That's why everyone who shoots digital (or scans film) needs a calibrated monitor. Otherwise, you can't trust your equipment or your eyes.

See http://www.colorvision.com/store/monitor_geu102.shtml for more info.

This is one of the reasons, I've always spoken out against digitial. It's great, but to do it properly, you need to spend two or three thousand dollars, not $500.

BTW, I can see the wheel, disc and part of the fork.

I think the pic is coming across fine.
While it sure as hell ain't "the worst pic ever" ....
It just doesn't portray the same artistic value as most of your other pics Steve:)

Steve...you remember that berm shot in K-Town with my bike? One of the things(IMHO) that made that pretty sweet was the color of my frame and the color of the foliage...not bad match! It blended/mixed nice with everything else....it was just a nice twist to the usual pics people have.
Mine and Super-T's are the only Apple Green V10's I've ever seen in "print".
Dude....once I paint this Boxxer semi-gloss black(soon), and match up the rims in black(I could borrow for this)....this will be one photogenic V10 with plant material!
I don't have to be the rider...set it up with however you like. Your pic skills...the right situation...just for the asking Bro:cool:

If you want to do a lot of prints then you'll need to calibrate your monitor against the printer that you'll be using, even if it's a commercial developer like London Drugs.

Hey Scott - I picked up CaptureONE after getting sucked into their 30day trial version. I was lost when it expired, those bastards got me hooked! The workflow is amazing. I can process images so quickly now it's unbelievable. Thanks for the recommendation!

Chump - I thought you were shooting manual mode on your digi??

I do most of the times, the ISO settings on my camera suck, its all busted from all the rides its been taken on so sometimes if I get lucky I can get a good picture on automatic. I shot this one manuel though.

It just all depends how my camera is working that day it likes to act up haha. Another reason why I love film. simple and it works

Chump: are you saying ALL digital photos suck, or just yours?

You've got me all confused here, I've seen awesome pictures from you before, were they not on digital?:???:
