Anyone know anything about the Kamloops skate park?

I was totally under the impression that they were going to the bowl phase second or third, and now people are telling me they are planning to build it all at once and there will be absolutely no bowls at all.... is this true???? I can't believe it! I sure hope they are wrong, how can a "world class skatepark" not have any bowls at all! Two dinky quarters and a bunch of ledges is all I have seen. :(

I just talked to someone today and other than 2 little quarters and a sketchy hip its gonna be all rails and ledges. What a huge let down.

you noob there was practically the same post wich had the a picture of the plans and most of the infromation, if u dont like the fact there is no bowls u should have joing the skatepark comittee and complained to the skaters who designed the park

I was told those plans were out dated.

No bowls. They were in the original plans but didn't make the final cut. Basically this is a skatepark, derived fromt he word skateboard and there are no bike features in the park. All wedge banks and short trannies. There was a budget cut which cut back on bigger features like bowls and quarters.
Ramp night at the Cafe will remain the best gig in town for 20"ers.
