Besides for asking "what the fuck was he doing?", here's the real question...

Why the fuck was there a "step up" to a flat landing? And why is it called a "step up" when it only steps up one stair, so in reality, it is just a jump to flat. Who designed the course?

hrmm...good point...but it would have been cool if you could transfer into those quarters in the background. Overall, from the pics I've seen, the course setup looked pretty cool

he had to bail cause there was no way his body was goin to rotate the opposite way for a front flip. looks like he actually tried to turn in the air and land on his back. i'd kinda rather do that then land on my legs/feet or arms/hands. that'd be one narley case of getting the wind knocked out of you.
