View Full Version : 243 frame not available anymore till the end of Oct?

Shop called me today and said they can't get my .243 frame till the END of October cause .243 is longer shipping frames. Are they just waiting till the 04 line is completely done before they ship them out? That sucks...I was hoping it'd be here frieday...well, I also ordered a .243 seat post and a Velo Freestyle seat(looks really tiny in the Velo Catalog, neato), Got both fro $30usd....good deal?

I was gonna get a 243 seat as well, but it looked a little longer than the Freestyle/trials seat that I was looking for....
Worth the wait on the frame, or should I just get an Azonic Evolution 2 frame? I did get both the Velo Seat and 243 seat post for $30....pretty neato I guess.....just thought I was gonna have my frame this weekend

Is that why teh bike shop told me to wait till teh end of Oct...the 04 line? Can't help but wonder why they told me a week, then they called me back and said End of Oct.
They told me 243 racing isn't accepting new orders till the end of October, and will send them some forms, etc.......this is like 243 central, LOL, thought maybe somebody would have an answer here....
Hmm...Maybe I am getting an 04.....what's the 04 look like? Specs? Lighter?

PM FOX he runs the company. As for the seat send the Velo back and get the new .243 DJ seat.

You know where I can see the new .243 DJ seat? I saw thier one that's glitter silver with the maple leaf on it...looks a little long....I like the little stubby trials looking seats....You think I should wait for the .243 frame, or spend $130 extra and get an Evil Imperial used? I'm torn between looks, right now, or wait, and get the bike EVERYBODY has on this board, and save some dough I don't really have, LOL.
What should I do?

hold out for the .243, and make sure your shop is getting you an 04'
it's painfull, but it'll be worth the wait
Btw i think you'll get much much better customer service with .243 opposed to imperial (not dissing imperial, or anything)

LOL, just read that post and now I know why I can't get my frame till the end of October.....I'M GETTING THE 04 FRAME!!!!!:D
Maybe good things DO come to those who wait...LOL....maybe I WILL get the .243 frame...it looks neato.....wish I didn't buy the Woodman stem though....I woulda bought the 243 bars AND stem :( ....Anybody want a Woodman Stem?

243 is out of all the 20003 frames last i checked the 2004 should be late sept early oct.

- shirts in stock.
- tires in stock.
- saddles in customs.
- posts in customs.
- bars, stems, end + top caps in 3 weeks (approx).
- frames in 3 weeks (approx).

HELL YEAH! So BTI has em already? Well, that's who my LBS gets em through. Supposedly they're supposed to be sending the LBS a form or something to order the frame and some other stuff.....

BTI switches to 04 after Interbike.
I believe we'll be sending a large run of every thing to them when I get back from Vegas.

They just set are Bike shop up as a dealer for .243 so hopefully i get mine sooner then the end of october.

WOW!!!!!!! Those tires look INSANE! I like the way the tread and tire looks from the side as well.... What is thier weight? :-(
So, BTI won't be getting them until like the last, last minute in October? Hmm, I was hoping to be riding in another 3 weeks....reason I'm asking is my LBS isn't really too informed with this type of riding...they're mostly weight weenies(with teh exception of my friend, who is a BMXer), so I don't think they'll be too on top of thier game. So I want to be able to keep them informed ya know? So you don't have a date BTI will be gettin the frames and seatposts? You can eMail me if necessary, OICDN@aol.com cause I definitly want to get back in the saddle....

You guys know how much I hate to wiegh things, but I used the ladies down the halls postage scale:
24" = 2.7lbs
26" = 3.0lbs

OK, those are about as heavy as EX 909's, about.04 grams lighter....but TONS sexier, are 1/10 wider, and prolly roll faster too....LOL...damn those tires are hot!
When will BTI be getting in thier frames and tires? Dates? PLEASE EMAIL ME!!! LOL

Looking at the calender and all going to plan they should be stocked by the week of October 27th, but shipping dates etc, are never on time.

right now i am borrowing my friends kenda dolassal 2.6 but one aka gets some more stock im going straight down there to get those tires. they look amazing and i have only heard good things about them.

i phoned aka and they dont have any 24" tires in stock. they said they will know by tuesday when their new chipment will come
