Ok in my last post I asked for help finding a bike but didn't give you anythingt to go on. So here's some more info. I need a good long travle bike to learn on that I won't out grow. I'm about 5'7'' 155lbs with long legs and a short torso. I want 7 or 8 inches of travle in each end, I realise it wont be a great pedler but it has to make it to the top of climb with out donateing blood. I wont buy anything with any brake jack, and I'd prefur if it squoted slightly to match the front. I plan on mooveing back to seattle soon so I want room for 2.7s or 2.5s and good mud clearince, so my best bet is probly canadian. I ride in a point and shoot fashon so I want something realy stiff and stable but not huge like an A-line. I need to be able to pick up the front and back easaly, and I want it to be able to hop. Ok here's my budget I'd like to stay around $2500 but I might sneak higher if the bike is really steller. Thanks for your help.

2500 complete?
I guess a Big Hit is all your gonna get for that kinda scratch.
Otherwise I would suggest putting together a custom Banshee Scream. That'll run you close to 5 grand though.

I realise my criteria is tight that's why I came here. I could go higher but I would have to stop at $3500. I may consider buying used of it's in good condition though. I just thought you guys might know about something in the 04 line ups because alot of companies are comeing out with big bikes at good prices lately.
Didn't IFO say that 03 BH expert's were going for $2500 CAD new?

I don't know what pricing is like in the US, but I'd suggest the Big Hit if you like the 4 bar feel, or the Bullit if you like the mono pivot. The 7" travel Yeti looks really nice too.

That's a lot of money for a starting out bike, and starting out on a long travel isn't the best idea. Someone had to come out and say it. Learn on a nice Hardtail (Banshee morphine, .243, Evil, Le Toy, ClifCat) with dialed parts. That'll run you about $2000USD, and you can have the othe rmoney to messa round with for a bit.
Or split it up, buy a smaller travel (4, 5, 6" ) full squish, and a cheaper HT (like a norco 125 or something) 2 bikes for the price of one!
your practically a walking ad for the BIGHIT...
yuor needs fit that bike perfectly...
get yourself a BIGHIT expert and you'll be one happy rider... i quarenttee it....:thepimp:
p.s. the bike is well within your budget... you should be able to find one on clearance sale soon as the 04 models will be out soon....
good luck....
