Possibly stolen???

I work at a sports store in Richmond, and today a guy came in trying to sell an RM frame(He said it was RM)..He looked pretty sketchy and told me his roommate bought the frame for 1300USD but owed him for rent so he was trying to sell it for 400CAD.

It was sparkly gold/mustard and with black maple leafs and black headtube i believe. It was aluminum(not easton rad like he said) and it looks kinda like this years vertex frame..

I dunno what purpose this thread serves, I just wanted to know what frame it was. The frame looked brand new so i dunno where he could've got it. He asked for names of bike shops around the vancouver area so he will likely be in contact with them...just wanted to give heads up to anyone whose had a similar frame or bike jacked..

Who would bring a frame to a bike shop to sell it? That's the opposite of how it should work...

yea frame only, sitting in his back seat..

the guy was thugged out, football jersey et al and drove a big old white caddy or other domestic, early 80's neway...he definitely wasn't a biker and knew nothing about the frame..

i think it is either a vertex or Attitude. XC bike. 99-2000 vintage

i don't work at a bike shop, i work at sport mart. We do sell bikes but they suck...

i guess if it's an old xc frame its not worth a whole lot except if it was stolen from you...
