My pop just broke his shoulder!

I was out dirtjumping with my dad and my friend and we were doing this jump called the boner. Me and my friend both have dj'ing hardtails so the steep lipped jump was fairly simple but then my dad tries it. He has a bigger bike, he rides a SC Bullit. When he went off the lip I guess his suspension sucked it all up and he cased the large jump and landed right on his shoulder, he is headed to the hospitol right now with my mom and from what it looks like he will not be able to bike for awhile. The bone was kinda sticking out and stuff so you know that was gross. So, ya , I am kinda bummed out since my dad is the one that drives me places when I want to bike and he is my riding partner for most of the time so this sucks.:(

Sorry to hear your dad got hurt.

Make sure to bring lots of biking magazines for your dad to read in the hospital, it should cheer him up.

i know what it feels like, i just spent 4 days in the hospital after knee surgery and i cant ride till after xmas:( hope your dad heals up soon, crashing sucks !

That sucks for your dad..

BUT, How cool is it that your dad rides! Even dirt jumps! Sucks that he is hurt, but it rules that you are here explaining how your pops wiped out doing jumps with you and your friends! Props to pops for givin 'er!

When I have kids, I hope I can still ride with them. Damn, that would be GREAT! I can only hope my kid gets into mountain biking, it would truely suck if he wasn't down with it. I want my kid to be able to ride before he can walk.
